Our Leadership

Chief Executive Officer

Brandon Anderson

Brandon Anderson has over 20 years of energy industry expertise, including leadership roles in energy markets throughout North America. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Commercial, U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines for TC Energy. In this role, Brandon was responsible for marketing, business development, commercial operations, regulatory strategy, and asset optimization for TC Energy’s U.S. natural gas pipeline footprint. Prior roles include President, Principal Executive Officer of TC Pipelines L.P. and Director General of TC Energy’s Mexico Gas and Power businesses, headquartered in Mexico City, as well as a variety of leadership roles for TC Energy in Calgary, Alberta.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, a CFA designation, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He has served on the Boards of several industry associations throughout North America.

Senior Vice President, Commercial & Corporate Development

Cam Anderson

Cam is responsible for our business development, sustainability, and corporate development portfolios. With over 15 years of energy industry experience, Cam brings a broad range of understanding in midstream infrastructure including commercial, joint venture, legal and regulatory. Before joining NorthRiver, Cam held senior positions in both midstream commercial and legal functions at AltaGas Ltd. His experience also includes commercial energy legal practice for a major Canadian law firm.

Cam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Calgary, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta.

Vice President, Information Technology

Jay Billesberger

Jay is a senior oil and gas leader with over 22 years of experience in the industry. Jay spent the majority of his career as an IT executive with an upstream producer where he built teams and solutions over a 16 year period with industry leading cost metrics. Jay spent the majority of his career not only building corporate IT systems but was also one of the first IT leaders in industry to design, implement and support industrial control systems for gas processing facilities.

Jay is a born and bred Calgarian and holds a B.Sc of Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology.

Senior Vice President, Growth Project Development & Execution

Paul Binassi

Paul is responsible for managing our project development and execution portfolios and has over 28 years of major project experience in chemical and gas processing, oil and gas production, oil sands production and upgrading, and petrochemical and plastics/polymers. Paul also played an integral role in leading the Heartland Petrochemical Complex Project for Inter Pipeline.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.

General Counsel, Senior Vice President Corporate Services

Tamara Trull

Tamara’s portfolio at NorthRiver Midstream includes legal, regulatory, human resources, external affairs and communications. She is most proud of the creative and talented teams and individuals she leads in each of these functions. An experienced general counsel with over twenty years in the utilities, energy and mining industries, Tamara was previously with FortisAlberta where she held the role of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to her time at FortisAlberta, Tamara was Associate General Counsel with BHP. Tamara began her career in litigation as a regulatory prosecutor specializing in occupational health and safety prosecutions with Alberta Justice, where she was also a media spokesperson.

Tamara brings a broad range of experience in legal, regulatory, human resources, communications, stakeholder and Indigenous relations to NorthRiver. Tamara has extensive legal and commercial experience and was part of a team that developed the first greenfield potash mine in Saskatchewan in over forty years. The role included obtaining various regulatory approvals, lobbying for legislative amendments and engaging with Indigenous communities.

Tamara has Psychology and Law degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Communications and Technology degree from the University of Alberta. Tamara has held various community and volunteer positions.

Chief Financial Officer

Tom Medvedic

Tom Medvedic brings over two decades of energy sector expertise in increasingly senior roles for large oil field services companies. Most recently, he was President of the Canadian Division of Calfrac Well Services, a leading independent global provider of specialized oilfield solutions, after holding roles including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, and Vice President of Operations (Canadian Division). Previously, he held several senior finance positions at global oilfield service provider Ensign Energy Services Inc. Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He has served as a director of several oil and gas companies in his career and is currently a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the MacPhail School of Energy at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
